Hope for the UninsuredIs there hope for the uninsured? You bet! I have researched this topic to some extent and find affordable health insurance most interesting. When the question is asked - Why are people uninsured? One answer is front and center - costs! The cost for health insurance is outrageous. If you are a blue collar worker struggling to put food on the table and a roof over your head, the last thing you are thinking about is health insurance - that is, until you need it. Plan for the inevitable now and you will be glad you did! The toughest groups of people to cover are those with pre-existing conditions. If you have a pre-existing condition such as asthma, good luck. Although I am not a huge proponent of the Obama's proposed health care plan, I recognize action is needed to correct the existing health care system. Obama's is trying to prevent pre-existing conditions from excluding coverage which I fully support. Chances are you know somebody that has a pre-existing condition and may feel the same. Until the existing health care system is reformed, what can be done? You might be pleasantly surprised. The government currently sponsors various health care initiates which benefits low income Americans every day. Without reform to the existing health care system, these services are available now. I detail these service in my FREE eBook which is now available for download. Are you uninsured and been hit with a large medical bill? If so, you know the helpless feeling of loosing you hard earned savings to the high cost of basic medical care. If not, you are lucky but I suspect you are insured and had to pay out of pocket for various deductibles which can sill wipe your savings. One nice feature about health insurance - insurance companies have negotiated rates with thousands of medical service providers to make the cost of care a bit more reasonable. Without insurance, you stand to pay the asking price from the provider - or do you?!:) If you are without insurance and have a hefty medical bill, negotiate the fees yourself. Seriously, the medical service provider would rather get something instead of nothing. If you are uninsured, become familiar with the available government sponsored affordable health care services. If Obama's health care plan does not pass and you are uninsured, do not worry. Even without insurance, you can still received free or affordable health care. |
